Show Your Support for Arts and Culture in City Survey

Voice your opinion about the city of Charlotte’s budgeting process through its Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Budget Public Input Survey.

This year, the city began directing its funds for arts and culture to the Infusion Fund, a public-private partnership that has pledged $36 million over three years ($18 million from the private sector and $18 million from the city) for creative organizations and individuals. ASC received funding from this partnership this year.

While this funding mechanism is slated to run through June 2024, the Charlotte City Council must approve the city’s contributions to the Infusion Fund each year as part of the budget process. It is vital that city officials hear from you to know their continued support for arts and culture is not only appreciated but greatly needed.

Arts and culture is called out in the survey as a key initiative within the city council’s strategic priority areas and as an initiative to alleviate the negative impacts of COVID-19. We encourage you – as a supporter of the arts and culture community – to take the survey by March 28, rank arts and culture initiatives as you see fit and provide feedback in the comments about why prioritizing arts and culture through the city’s FY23 budget is important.
