Introduction to the Enneagram:

As we journey through our professional lives, we travel many roads, taking many twists and turns.  And yet, even when we take on new projects or work with new clients, we often face the same challenges. We are not curious about these twists and turns and do not recognize that each experiences-planned or serendipitous, provides us with an opportunity to understand ourselves and our leadership style at a deeper level. These experiences are an invitation for us to be present – known as mindfulness.

The Enneagram:

  • An ancient model designed to describe and explain human behavior and the motivation behind this behavior
  • Based on Nine Personality Types and their corresponding “views of the world” that dictate how you act “compulsively” in reaction to your world
  • Seen through the three primary centers of intelligence -feeling, thinking and doing
  • Ultimately, a tool for compassion and empathy, hallmarks of leadership in the 21st

In this highly experiential workshop, Angelina provides opportunities for participants to enhance their interactions with others by increasing their self-awareness and their understanding of their work style through the use of the Enneagram. Participants will:

  • Share their personal journeys as they cultivate intentionality.
  • Examine the origins and uses of the Enneagram, a 4,500-year-old system with modern-day, practical application, as a tool for self-awareness and enhancing facilitation skills.
  • Observe each Enneagram type “in action” using references to TV personalities (the nine Enneagram types on Cheers), animals, cities (Charlotte is a Type Three – The Succeeder).
  • Identify and explore various aspects of their own Enneagram type by engaging in a reflective and hands-on exercises designed to provide opportunity for them to “witness” Enneagram types and their compulsions.
