Join ASC for a Historic West End Public Art Tour with ArtWalks CLT on Saturday, March 25 at 11 a.m. Explore public art, murals, and placemaking around Five Points Plaza, including the gateway public art project “Excelsior,” installed in 2021 in Historic West End and created by Charlotte artist Stacy Utley and collaborator Edwin Harris. Utley will discuss his public artwork as part of the tour.

The one-hour artwalk, sponsored by Johnson C. Smith University, begins at Five Points Plaza (1803 W. Trade St., Charlotte). The event is free and pre-registration is needed. Light rail access is from the Gold Line. Parking is available at the Mosaic parking deck.

ASC manages the public art programs for Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte.

ArtWalks CLT connects the community to local public art and artists through free self-guided neighborhood artwalks accessible on your mobile device. Artwalks are available for NoDa, Plaza-Midwood, South End, Elizabeth, Historic West End, the East Side and uptown. Want to start walking? Go to www.artwalksclt.com or follow @artwalksclt on Instagram.
