Juggling improves brain function because you are constantly jumping from one side of the brain to the other. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYour teacher\, Nicole Muse-Dennis\, will lead you in a variety of exercises to improve your hand-eye-coordination. You will learn how to juggling scarves\, balls and possibly the diabolo (Chinese yo-yo). \nAt the end of the Juggling Series\, you will have the option to perform at our International Circus and Dance Celebration on Saturday\, May 3 from 1pm – 4pm at the Berewick Recreation Center. Held on Wednesday evenings (February -June) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Tuckaseegee Recreation Center\, this program invites participants of all abilities\, address 8+ to engage in an immersive dance cultural experience. \nEach session focuses on a different aspect of African diaspora traditions\, blending historical and cultural insights with movement and music practices. Participants will explore dance forms such as vintage jazz\, Samba\, Orisha dances\, and Afro-Brazilian traditions while learning their historical significance and modern evolution. Guided by experienced artists and facilitators\, the program fosters a sense of community\, cultural pride\, and personal connection through the arts. \nSessions include a welcome\, community check-in\, short warm-up\, movement practice\, choreography\, and reflective discussions.
