Over two days\, students will explore the fundamentals of design\, understand the value of creativity in the fashion industry\, and develop their own original hat design using Canva Pro. On production day\, students will get the opportunity to cut their DTF designs\, learn how to use a heat press\, and walk away with two custom hats they designed and made themselves.

DESCRIPTION:Presented by ArtWalksCLT\nWhen: April 25 (2:30pm)\nWhere: South Blvd. Library (4429 South Blvd\, Charlotte\, NC 28209) \n\n\nThe Zine Making workshop will introduce the ideas behind a zine\, pronounced “zeen\,” which is a small booklet\, produced to foster creative self-expression.  Through the process of creating their own personal zine\, participants will learn the basics of zine history\, layout\, folding\, and simple binding techniques while exploring how zines have been used for storytelling\, self-expression\, and community voice. Using collage materials\, drawing tools\, and markers\, each participant will create a small\, take-home zine inspired by their personal experiences and community.
