SUMMARY:Experience Anatomy: The World inside of Your Body
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Experience Anatomy\nWhen: August 2\, 2025 1:30pm-3:00pm\nWhere: Independence Regional Library (6000 Conference Dr Charlotte NC 28212) \nCome and experience the beauty inside our bodies as we examine these true examples of anatomy. Get curious and inspired about anatomy\, health and science as we move from the abstract world of anatomy illustrations and 2D views to holding a brain in your hands or looking at our literal heart strings. \nExperience Anatomy: The World Inside Your Body we will tour real human anatomical specimens with the guidance of our well informed and engaging anatomists\, Amy McWaters and Fauna Moore. Amy and Fauna\nspecialize in teaching anatomy to students who have not been formally trained in the subject\, making their lectures easy to understand and appropriate for all levels of learners. \nThe specimens have been preserved through plastination and are from the creators of the famed Body Worlds exhibition. The process renders perfect examples of true human anatomy made from cadaveric tissue but is\nodorless\, dry\, and safe to the touch.
