Held on Wednesday evenings (February -June) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Tuckaseegee Recreation Center\, this program invites participants of all abilities\, address 8+ to engage in an immersive dance cultural experience. \nEach session focuses on a different aspect of African diaspora traditions\, blending historical and cultural insights with movement and music practices. Participants will explore dance forms such as vintage jazz\, Samba\, Orisha dances\, and Afro-Brazilian traditions while learning their historical significance and modern evolution. Guided by experienced artists and facilitators\, the program fosters a sense of community\, cultural pride\, and personal connection through the arts. \nSessions include a welcome\, community check-in\, short warm-up\, movement practice\, choreography\, and reflective discussions.
