Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center - School Experience Manager
General Purpose
The School Experience Manager will focus on registering students for all in-studio and community engagement programs. They will schedule privates and birthday parties with customers and coordinate teachers for them.
Example of Duties
Customer Experience (60%):
- Provide exceptional customer service experience to all members, non-members, and visitors.
- Involved in customer care related activities, as needed:
- Phone calls and emails to potential and current clients.
- Assist with registration in JackRabbit.
- Band communication to current students and faculty.
- Answer questions and note concerns about the studio, classes, instructors, and services.
- Manage enrollments and registrations, and marketing of programs to students who have taken a class in the past 3 years.
- Manage the front desk team.
Program Marketing Strategy (10%):
- Assist in reaching the organization’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and school goals.
- Foster an affirming organizational culture that promotes continuous learning by students and staff
- Develop new and innovative ideas to retain students.
- Provide feedback to leadership on programs and students.
- Prepare regular program reports for the School Director.
- Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives. Meet Sales Goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
- Stay up to date on the latest in the industry.
- Create content and post on our social media. Able to follow brand styles.
Team Leadership (20%):
- Provide backup support for any absent employee
- Create documentation to be used for training admin staff – written & video
- Support team in troubleshooting as necessary and adapting to unforeseen challenges
- Monitor and control expenses within the allotted budget
Other duties as needed (10%):
- CC&DC is a dynamic and evolving organization. The team lead must adapt as necessary to meet unforeseen challenges and opportunities
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for CC&DC’s mission and programming
- Superior customer service skills – Friendly, cheerful, hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic
- Excellent planning, task management, and organizational skills
- Desire to learn and improve administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities amidst uncertainty
- Demonstrated success managing teams
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups with a variety of perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences and communication styles
- Ease with budgets and willingness to engage deeply with financial statements
- Basic computer proficiency. This job will require frequent use of the following:
- Google Suite
- Band app
- Notion
- Asana
- JackRabbit
- EventBrite
- Chat GPT and Perplexity AI
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Pay
- Starting hourly pay $16.00 – $18.00 commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience
- Bonus and/or increase pay opportunities for regularly exceeding goals.
Time Commitment
- Part Time
- 20 hours average weekly (pending the time of year)
- Busy times of the year are February – April for Summer Registrations and mid-July – September for Fall Registrations. During these times of the year, the number of hours per week can go up to 25 hours and the employee needs to be able to accommodate the additional time in their schedule.
- 2 – 3 Front Desk shifts are required during the week to build and maintain relationships with current customers.
- Expected attendance at School Events to build and maintain relationships with current students.
Location
- The responsibilities of this role may be completed remotely.
- Frequent in-person attendance at meetings and events will be required.
- 1 Hour Weekly Sync in person or virtual with manager.
- Attendance at events dependent on the event and staff leading the event.
