Charlotte Ballet/Novant Health - Athletic Trainer

Overview

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention of athletic injuries; the maintenance of the health and well-being; and the recuperation and rehabilitation following illness, injury, or surgery of all players under contract to the professional team or collegiate entity. This position will be assigned to the Charlotte Ballet. Experience working in the Performing Arts setting is preferred. Certifications in various manual therapy techniques, such as Dry Needling, IASTM and Myofascial release is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years collegiate or professional experience, recommended but not required, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current AT Licensure in appropriate state, required. Current BOC Certification, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, XPS, CES national certification(s).  Ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.
