Activities Assistant – Senior Living

Part Time of Full Time | Onsite| $18 – $22 per hour

What You’ll Do: Working closely with the Life Engagement Director, the Activities Assistant will help plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, celebrations, and recreational activities for our senior residents. From holiday parties and ice cream socials to bingo and workout classes, think holiday resort/cruise ship vibes!

You will foster a warm and inclusive environment and utilize your creativity and talents to bring joy and excitement to our community. You will also help create and distribute promotional materials such as the monthly newsletter, calendar, flyers, and posters. Additionally, the Activities Assistant will help coordinate transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments and may occasionally be responsible for resident transportation.

What We’re Looking For:

– Valid State of Residence Driver’s License with a safe driving record.

– Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

– Reliable and dependable individuals with the ability to learn, take direction, and grow.

– Social and outgoing personalities – ESSENTIAL! You will be interacting and socializing A LOT!

– Creative minds with talents to share – music, arts & crafts, games, food & beverage, fitness, gardening, knitting – almost any talent, hobby, or interest will do!

– Energetic and enthusiastic about working with seniors.

– Education, experience, and/or passion for Arts, Culture, Leisure, Events, Entertainment, Fitness, and Recreation is a MAJOR PLUS!

– Knowledge of the Charlotte area and the local community, including events, activities, and current happenings.

– Basic IT skills required, and proficiency in design software like Canva is a plus.
