Emerging Leaders Program
In response to a national program initiated by Americans for the Arts (AFTA), ASC developed and now manages an Emerging Leaders Program for the Charlotte area.
The program is designed for cultural professionals (staff members of arts, science and history organizations) in the Charlotte area. The program targets professionals who are under 35 years old or new to the field, generally with less than five years experience, but invites people from every age range and demographic group to participate. The only requirement is that participants have the desire to enhance their leadership capacity and the drive to develop innovative, effective and responsible management practices.

Locally, we currently hold brownbag lunch gatherings on the third Tuesday of each month at a variety of area cultural organizations.
